I think my fiancé is cursed

Can you help me protect my fiancé? We believe he’s being cursed and has been seeing the devil’s basement, along with angels and spirits. Please help me help him. His name is [personal info redacted]. He’s just been diagnosed with colon cancer, and I need to know this is not a medical condition affecting his head, that it’s a curse, and we can best think. Please, I’ve been going crazy worried for him. –E.B.

Hello E.,

I’m very sorry to hear about your fiancé’s difficulties. Cancer is a hard diagnosis to receive, and I wish the best for both of you going forward.

As for the concern of a curse, that’s a lot to unpack.

First, I suggest speaking to his doctor and finding out if either the medications he’s on, or the extra anxiety and stress caused by the illness is contributing to his experiences of seeing these things. It sounds like he could also benefit from having a counselor to talk to. If the source of his experiences is coming from emotional stress, that can help.

Second, does he have someone in his life who feels so wronged by him that they would even perform a curse?

Of course, there are some people who can lose their temper at the smallest provocation, but those people typically don’t have the focus and power to curse effectively. So if you can think of someone he REALLY pissed off who doesn’t usually lose their temper at every little thing, that might be a place to start.

If he hasn’t done anything to anyone to seriously anger them, then it’s probably not a curse you’re dealing with. If he can think of someone who feels this way about him, you need to determine if they have the knowledge and experience to perform a curse. Or if they have connections with someone who would work a curse on their behalf.

People are quick to jump to the “it must be a curse” suspicion, but they don’t really meet those criteria of having someone upset enough to curse, who knows how to curse, or knows someone willing to curse for them.

If after he’s gone to the doctor to see if these experiences might be coming from his illness, medicines, or stress, and you’ve tried fixing those first, then you can consider whether or not he checks the boxes off for being cursed.

Do the medical and psychological stuff first. Clear away the physical and mental issues so that an honest assessment of spiritual issues can be made.

In the meantime, while you’re figuring out if it’s a medical/psychological problem causing this, he should do daily prayer or meditation with his focus being on shielding and protection. Making declarative “I am” statements are best for this. “I am protected. I am powerful. I am shielded. I am a child of God and no curse can harm me…” stuff like that.

Curses are a battle of will in most instances. The will of the caster wanting to curse must be stronger than the will of the target. If he is able to build up his personal shield of belief against the potential curse, that would be a great place to start with deflecting it.

We can talk about breaking it if it comes to that, but do these things first – check medications and symptoms with his doctor, look for and begin seeing a counselor, try to maintain physical health and well-being, THEN determine if there might be someone angry, skilled, experienced, or connected enough to hurl a curse at him.

Do the daily prayers/meditation with the “I am” statements to build up his defenses.

If there is no improvement after all of these steps are taken, I will suggest other means of assistance.

Blessings and best wishes going forward.

How Many Cards In a Tarot Reading?

Dear Lady Serpent,
I have a question regarding your article ‘Using Tarot Spreads/Layouts Posted on April 8, 2022 by Lady Serpent.
With the Yes/No question, dealing out the 3 piles, should I just use the suit cards or include all cards?
Kind Regards,
A.L.

Hello A.,
Thank you for reading my blog and reaching out with your question.

You should include the entire deck in your reading. I will go back and edit the original article to reflect this for more clarity in the future.

As you explore options for layouts, my advice in general is use the entire deck for all readings unless the creator of the spread specifically says, “Only Major Arcana cards”, or “Only use the suits,” or maybe something like, “Only use Major Arcana cards and court cards (king, queen, knight, and page)”, which can happen for specific layouts, but that isn’t the case for this one. 🙂

Please use all of the cards.

Happy reading!

Praying Along With a Spell That’s Been Cast

Hello Lady Serpent:

I enjoyed reading your blog and have a question. I had a witch cast spells on my behalf and was wondering if I pray asking for help with my issue while the spells are in force, will that affect the outcome of the spells?

J.

Hi J.,

Thank you for reading my blog. I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying it.

Generally speaking, no, it shouldn’t affect the magic being worked for you to pray, as long as the prayers and spells aren’t working against each other. Keep all the focus going in the same direction towards your goal.

It’s also important that you act in accordance with the magic. So, make sure your actions are in line with your goals as well.

What will negatively affect magic is:

  1. Acting against it — all the focus from everyone involved should be pointing at the same thing.
  2. Talking about it to other people, like randomly sharing the fact that magic is being worked for you for something. Keep that to yourself. The more it’s talked about or worried about the less push it will have going forward.
  3. Worrying about it. Keep your thoughts positive. Doing magic is an act of pulling energy out of the ether and bringing it into form. Don’t throw up walls to block that or make it more difficult.

Blessings.
